I just wanted to reach out to you from London and see if you might be interested in us programming and co-promoting some of our sessions with you? So far we have done a few album premieres and catalogue sessions at Club13’s cinema with Qobuz and Ninja Tune but we’ve been looking for more of a permanent partner in Paris for sure. It seems we share the same passions and mission!
The concept of Pitchblack Playback is simple: we host listening sessions where people can come and hear classic and upcoming albums ahead of release on a big cinema sound system, in the dark. It’s all about cutting yourself off from distractions and giving albums the time, space and focus they deserve. We have had over 25,000 people pass through our events to date with thousands more on the waiting list. We run most weeks in London, and regularly in Manchester, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome, Nashville, Denver, New York, Los Angeles, Auckland and New Plymouth. We have held additional events in Berlin, Paris, Melbourne, Sydney and Tokyo so far.

We also have Pitchblack Mixtapes, our series of DJ listening sessions in the dark where selectors take the audience on a journey through different sounds, eras and moods in a seated / laying down environment in the dark just like at our album sessions.
